Question 1

Does anything leave our building or the EU?

Accepted Answer

Nothing goes to us or to any outside AI provider. The AI runs on the machine in your office. It connects to the software your firm already works in, including cloud software you already use, because that is where the work happens, and only results you have approved go into that software.

Question 2

Is our data ever used to train a model?

Accepted Answer

Never for anyone else. Your files are not used to train our models or anyone else's. When your team corrects the system, the rule it learns stays on the machine in your office and only works for your firm. We keep no copies of your data.

Question 3

Does client confidentiality stay intact?

Accepted Answer

Yes, because the work never leaves your control. The machine sits in your office inside the EU: there is no outside processor to add to your register and no transfer outside the EU to justify, so your duty of confidentiality to your clients stays entirely with you.

Question 4

Will it connect to our existing systems?

Accepted Answer

Step by step, and we say exactly where each step stands. Today it reads the documents and e-invoices your clients send, the bank's statement files and exports from your bookkeeping software, and prepares the work for your approval. Direct links that write into your bookkeeping and practice software are being built package by package, starting with the most used in each country. Discovery maps which ones you need before anything is installed.

Question 5

Which countries and languages does Bertha cover?

Accepted Answer

Bertha works in English, Dutch, German, French, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and Finnish. It prepares the VAT return for the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and France, and knows each country's deadlines and e-invoice formats. Each market is reviewed by an accountant of that country before its first paying firm.

Question 6

We use AdminPulse. What happens when it stops?

Accepted Answer

Bertha is building a rehearsed move off AdminPulse: a dry run, counts you sign off, and a way back. Leave your details on the AdminPulse page and we will tell you exactly how far the importer is.

Question 7

How is the monthly rate worked out?

Accepted Answer

It scales with the two things that cost capacity: the people using Bertha and the clients on their books. The calculator gives an indicative rate for your firm; Discovery settles the exact number before you commit to anything.

Question 8

Can we be billed in our own currency?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The list is in euro, and you can be billed in pounds, Danish, Norwegian or Swedish kroner instead, converted at indicative reference rates.

Question 9

Does Bertha replace our bookkeeping software?

Accepted Answer

No. Bertha works inside the tools your firm already pays for, through an API where one exists and on screen where it does not. The books stay in your software, and nothing is ever written back without a person confirming.

Question 10

What happens to our files if we stop?

Accepted Answer

Everything stays yours. Your data sits on the machine in your office, and a full export with a manifest and hashes goes with you if the relationship ends.
